2021 may be the year of the asteroid mission. NASA’s Lucy mission will complete a 12-year journey to seven different asteroids, visiting a Main Belt asteroid as well as six Jupiter trojans, while the Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) will visit the double asteroid Didymos and demonstrate the kinetic effects of crashing an impactor spacecraft into an asteroid moon for planetary defense purposes.
