Los nuevos estudios en nuestros hogares están revelando qué especies viven allí: miles de bacterias, moscas y milpiés. Mientras tanto, la vida sigue sorprendiéndonos al aparecer en otros lugares inesperados: la biosfera profunda alberga a la mayoría de las bacterias del mundo y la tundra ártica ha mantenido los gusanos congelados, pero vivos, durante 40 000 años.

La mayoría es inofensiva, algunos son beneficiosos y todo es testimonio de la asombrosa diversidad y adaptabilidad de la vida.
